So much beauty in the saddle of a bicycle. Whether it’s a sleek walker and a basket on the handlebars, a gleaming carbon sports bike or a steel-levered, fat-wheeled strongwoman, pedaling at Garda is a full-color experience.

With a few hours to spare, you can admire the deep blues and greens of the lakefront to Punta San Vigilio, or discover the pastel hues of the Mill Valley.

The possibilities multiply with a little extra time and miles. Bicycle routes from Garda lead as far as Monte Baldo, the Adige Valley, Valpolicella, Verona as well as Peschiera del Garda and as far as Valeggio sul Mincio and, disembarking by ferry, even to the Lombard shore.

Lovers of challenging dirt roads and gravel will find plenty to enjoy among the gulf, the Rocca and Mount Luppia… and with an e-bike and an experienced guide Garda can become a perfect base for a passionate two-wheeled vacation.

GARDA - BARDOLINO - LAZISE

20 kilometers round trip of easy flat pedaling suitable for everyone, but really everyone. You enjoy the lakefront, you take it slow to admire the view and because there are many people who, even if not on a bike, walk, take a picture.

OLD ROCCA.

On a challenging route suitable for MTB or gravel, we pedal through the area of the artisans, behind the village, ascending from the locality le Ràsole to reach through olive groves and vineyards to one of the most striking viewpoints of the lower lake. The Rocca Vecchia, inhabited since prehistoric times, has traces dating back to the Paleolithic, remains of medieval walls and also trenches from the two Great Wars of the 19th century dug by military and civilians for defensive purposes. A true journey back in time.

HERMITAGE OF THE CAMALDOLESE

The hermitage of the Camaldolese, an ancient Benedictine monastery founded in 1663 and a place of peace and meditation, is an evocative destination, as is the trail to reach it. It leaves from the artisans’ area. After a stretch on the bike path through meadows and woods, you come to a boundary stone marking the Garda, Costermano, Bardolino border. The last stretch skirts cultivated areas until you reach the dirt road that leads to the hermitage.

SAN VIGILIO – LE SENGIE

One pedals and willingly stops to admire the lake from many perspectives. Just a promise, because the arrival will be much more than a view, but an embrace on the blue Garda. From Giardini San Carlo, in front of Villa Albertini, you will walk along the lake, past the green reed beds and cross the itinerary that reveals rock carvings engraved on “liscioni” since the Iron Age. The architectural junction is Villa Canossa. Nature, archaeology and art.

GARDA - GOAT

A ring that changes color as the miles go by. It starts at the Gardacqua parking lot, then takes the bike path that from Garda gains Mount Moscal di Affi, and among vineyards and wonderful views of the lake you return to Garda. Continue to Campagnola di Castion and then Pesina, to the slopes of Mount Belpo, where you can discover the Grotta del Barbera.
