Waking up, breathing, getting out and moving along with nature blooming again. As the afternoons grow longer, Garda is the perfect place to experience and indulge your passions.
Golf is at home at Garda, with two golf clubs among the green hills and the blue lake. A beautiful scenic 18 + 9-hole course overlooks the Gulf of Garda from above, and a second brand-new two-hole course is perfect for swing novices with a well-equipped training area.
Beloved by Central European tourists and Gardesans alike is the bicycle, the means of choice for discovering the lake and its surroundings. Gravel trails draw the gulf, the hills toward the Rocca and Mt. Luppia–and all it takes is a tarp for a five-star picnic with local produce.
For everyone, even the little ones, there is the bike path that connects Garda to Bardolino and Lazise, which also profiles the lakefront towards San Vigilio.
To enjoy its primal elements water and wind, the Gulf of Garda, mitigated by its gentle breezes, offers the perfect set for approaching sailing, or perfecting technique under the guidance of experienced FIN sailors. If, on the other hand, you want to definitely slow down the pace, a lakeside lunch or aperitif is a perfect partnership that marries flavors and views.
Nature awakens In and around Garda, there is no shortage of opportunities to discover and savor seasonal excellence and zero-mile raw materials. Quality and sustainability are pillars of the entire supply chain, which has its main raw materials in the oil PDOs, wine DOCs, freshwater fish, meats and artisanal cheeses from Lessinia and Baldo.
If there are no times or seasons to (not) indulge in a taste of sweet fogassa or a San Vigilino, in this season not to be missed are the handmade bigoli with sardines in the village’s small restaurants, perfect accompanied by a Lugana or Chiaretto.
The spring wind is beginning to blow, and for Garda it is in the stern.
